Job Title: Datastage Developer
Job Duties: Mine and analyze data from databases by reading the data to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies. Write and interpret complex SQL queries for standard as well as ad hoc data analysis purposes. Develop efficient ETL processes to transform the data as per the business rules of the client using IBM Infosphere DataStage. Use JDBC (Java Database Connectivity) and ODBC connectors to connect to source system databases and Hive Database. Use Gitlab for version control and co-ordinate among team members. Work in the entire application development life cycle of the project which includes performing analysis of the requirements and performing design and development of the applications. Create database objects such as tables, views and execute complex SQL queries to extract data from database tables for running the applications. Design and code ETL transformation processes to access information from the database. Review and recommend best solution or root cause of software issues to development team for updating programming code or database information. Provide performance tuning strategies for concerning areas which includes user-perceived response time, network performance, and database performance. Will work in Irving, Texas and/or various client sites throughout the U.S. Must be willing to travel and/or relocate.
